South Africa's produces food at high prices while salaries of farmers remain low. 

80% of South African homes cannot afford healthy food every day due to the broken link  between farmer and consumer.

The challenges in the South African food system are driven by broader factors including availability, access, affordability, advertising as well as food quality. ORIBI Village & The Southern Africa Food Lab are teaming up to create the first tailor-made incubation programme supporting & connecting entrepreneurs, organizations and innovators working toward a more sustainable and equitable food system.
